LOL what a complete AH. I did not start the thread. The post in question WAS all about anal beading and you are as usual FOS.

How about this Tommy PM Carol and see how she takes what you said?

And what makes you think you are more successful than me? Is it because you claim to pay more in taxes than

the majority of people that live in your trailer park of a town? Don't flatter yourself.

I should have simply just agreed with the ALT that called you a douchebag, of course because I asked what all the fuss

was all about you had your period and here we now are.

For a guy that makes the claim in this very thread that he has not replied to me in over a year you have replied

in this thread alone more than 5 times.

Keep spinning it Tommy everyone with a brain knows that you are FOS.

    Steve

    Good for you.

I usually pay within a day, unless I plan to buy more from that seller during the combined shipping time frame.

I pay within 24 hours unless i plan on combine shipping on multiple items within the seller's time frame for combine shipping.

As a seller sometimes I can get annoyed on why other people don't pay like I do when it comes to items. I find it strange how so many buyers pay and want the item to show up 6 hours after they click the paypal button and pay. Yet many of those same buyers will take a week to make that payment. As a seller I usually send a "winning buyer notification" after the item is bought. I wait 4 days then send an "invoice". After 7 days I send a "payment reminder". If I still don't hear from buyer by day 10 I make ebay deal with them and submit a "item cancellation: buyer wont respond". Funny after I submit them the unresponsive buyer responds right away and begs to make payment or cancels the transaction. Usually by then its to late and I have already added them to my BBL.
  • corvette1340corvette1340 Posts: 3,384 ✭✭✭
I've now sent him 3 invoices. One when the auction ended, one on the 4th night, and one today. The one today contained the message, "can you let me know when you are going to pay for the auction. It's now been 6 days without payment or contact from you. Thanks, Tommy" If he doesn't pay by the end of the day tomorrow then I'll file a NPB and include his ebay name as a non-payer in the re-listing. I'll also watch his account and buy a high end item from him and then not pay.

One note regarding waiting for payment on an auction: ebay sends a reminder notice automatically after two days. I'd send one invoice after vthe first day but not anot6her one till at least 7 days have passed. If you send multiple reminders, the buyer may just delay paying on spite because he thinks he is being badgered, and I've seen many buyers leave negs in those cases, too.

<< <i>there is absolutely no reason for someone to not get in touch with the seller and explain if they are out of town, etc >>

I have 3 reasons off the top of my head.

1.............He died right after the auction ended, or had a stroke.

2............He was arrested and used his one phone call to call a lawyer.

3............He once sold you something and you took too long to pay (according to him)

so he is doing to you exactly what you claim you will do to him. That is buy an item

and not pay for it. It's a vicious cycle.

    Steve

    Good for you.
  • FWIW, maybe you should put a time frame in your auctions like:
    1. "Payment due 4 days after auction ends"
    2. pay me within 48 hours or I will go ballistic
    3. ifin I don't get the money quick I will bend your cards kidnap your 1st born and kill your dog.
    4. I'll come a knocking if u don't start payin.
    5. Have 45 will travel.

    seriously,
    1. it is fantastic when the buyer pays within 24 hours .
    2. it is great when the buyer pays within 72 hours .
    3. it is fine when the buyer pays within 7 days .
    4. it is Ok when the buyer pays within 8 to 12 days .
    5. it is crappy ok when the buyer pays within 12 to 20 days but at least they paid.
    6. you aint gettin paid and it sucks but thanks to ebay nothin u can do about it . let sellers leave negs again for buyers. image

    just my 2 cents.

Here is the buyer's response to my last invoice.

Hello sorry for delay on payment some jerk put a hold on a few hundred dollars in paypal that I was gonna use to pay for the set. I have been tryin to sort it out for the last week or so. I do plan on paying though so dont worry. If you want I could send a downpayment to show you, I usually always pay right away as you can see by my feedback. Thanks for your patience hope to hear from you soon

He could have told me this after he bought the set instead of waiting a week after. The auction was for $2750 so I'm not sure why a few hundred dollars being held makes a difference. I just think he doesn't have all the money right now and is waiting to get it.

Gumbyfan/Gantner, thanks for putting my picture up. Everytime someone visits the website our search engine ranking goes up.

Just the other day I was in Best Buy when I saw a new DVD that I wanted. I didn't bring any money with me so I just walked up to the cashier with it, put it on the counter, told her I wanted it and said I'd be back someday to pay for it.

The difference here is this is eBay, and eBay gives the buyer a week plus+ to pay. (Two weeks one could say as you can't file for one week).

So perhaps, creating a thread like this is like the electric company blasting you because you didn't pay two days after the bill arrived...even though it is not due for another week.

Just got paid. Only took 9 days. In my opinion that is a long time to wait, especially with no contact for almost 7 days. At least he appologized.

you can file an NPB after 4 days. It used to be a week but now it is 4 days. If I was the electric company I'd also blast people for being late. Pay your damn bills on time and you won't lose your good credit. That's part of the reason we are in the situation we are in with the economy. People can do anything they want and never pay their bills, etc...and there aren't any real consequences, in fact they often get rewarded for being sorry asses and collect government subsidies. It makes me sick.

In the case above, the electric bill was not paid late...just later then the electric company would have preferred it.

I would hardly consider government subsidies a reward. Nor do I want to try to live on a couple hundred a month. The few people I know on it have a real need.

No real consequences of not paying bills? What world do you like in? Don't pay your electric and see what happens.

Your postings come off very much like you think your better then the list, make more then list and the like. I have yet to see it. The income part may be true, but you keep acting like and saying others are jealous...of what? You have not shown these great cards in your collection, this big mansion you own or anything the like. I have not see a single charitable posting from you, nor have we been shown these photos of your kids in little league.

You have shown photos of old cars you were selling...one with water damage.

I find your measurement of better lacking.

I like your writing style, only a few mispelled words. It was clear, concise, and to the point. That being said, I have never said that I'm better than anyone nor do I feel that way. I've worked my ass off to get what I have and I can't stand people that rely on the government to provide for them when they can do it for themselves.

The only reason I said the part about "jealousy" to Steve is that he is constantly chiming in on my posts to try and poke me. I guess it works because I can't stand not defending myself. I don't live in a mansion and I don't have the biggest collection. I do live very well and provide very well for my family and have no worries when buying anything I want. When I show vintage sets, cars, houses, etc...on here I get bashed for bragging while others can do it and it's ok. And that's fine, it doesn't even bother me. I've made several good friends on here and I love collecting. I got back into the hobby in 2008 and I've had a blast the last couple of years and even made a little money.

So, that being said, carry on.
