How much ebay bucks did you get?

I just got $115. Sounds good but it also means I probably spent too much money on ebay last quarter.

$20. Just lost out on a 55 Redman Ashburn PSA 3 with Tab for $20, which would have been nice.

    $100.33.

This number is inflated however with lots of flipping (buying and selling the same item right away) and psaguy purchases....or whatever the mass psa seller that ebay likes and gives you 2x bucks.

It will likely be my all-time record as I am trying my best to slow down eBay wise.

Do you have to be selected? I thought you just signed up.
  • If there is a way to 'sign up', someone please enlighten me..... I thought EBay randomly selected a certain percentage of users for it.

this was my interpretation as well, and "selected" seems like the method they used when they noticed my buying habits suddenly perked up last year.....until then, i noticed nothing about an offer to join.
  • I have a buddy who was "selected" for EBay bucks, and he spends waaaaaaaaayyyyy less than I do there. He takes a great deal of delight in pointing this discrepancy out to me on a frequent basis.

Since I'd do the exact same thing if the situation were reversed, I can't really justify getting angry at him.

Info directly from ebay on this program in case you were wondering....

    Can anyone participate?
The eBay Bucks program is currently in BETA, so at this time eBay is limiting sign-up to a random selection of invited eBay members only. Only members who receive an invitation email are eligible to sign-up for the program. Once the BETA phase ends, we will be adding new participants and will evaluate opening up the eBay Bucks program to all eBay members registered on www.ebay.com, living in the United States, and with account in good standing (no holds or suspensions).

What does BETA mean, why is participation limited?
The eBay Bucks program is in its initial release and is being previewed to a limited group of members to gain feedback before we finalize the official release. During BETA, member feedback is incredibly useful to help us shape the features and design. We strive to have the highest quality during BETA, but also recognize that since this is new, we may run into issues. The good news is that we fix them as soon as we find them! So if you run into any issues, please check back again later as there's a high probability the problem will have already been resolved. If you have any feedback you wish to share, please do so here.
