Does the PCGS coin sniffer detect puttied gold?
There is no "AT" or "NT". We only have "market acceptable" or "not market acceptable.

    I believe it's supposed to detect anything that's been added to the surface of a coin including putty and chemicals used to AT coins. I'm not sure how well it actually works in practice.

    I wonder if this sniffer technology can be used by resturant owners to verify that their employees washed their their hands after using the restroom.image

    Sniffer technology has been around for many years. It is very effective and will identify foreign substances on the coin surface - including putty. Google is your friend. Cheers, RickO
