I'm not being overcritical of anyone other than those whos' only reason to be in the thread is to troll me. Kind of like this post. What does this have to do with the OP? Oh that's right, nothing. You are just trolling. I've never seen such a concentration of trolls on one board. >>

But yet you keep going on and on and on and on and on. >>

I'm answering posts. Am I now not supposed to answer posts??? What is wrong with people on this board??? lol My lord.

Do you understand the concept of Internet trolling? You use the term very loosely and in situations where it does not apply.

With regard to your original post, I agreed INITIALLY that the Pop Report wasn't the easiest. But you insisted that I was off topic since I didn't praise your opinion. Based upon the way you've reacted in previous threads, I jumped back and called you a few choice names. I will not apologize for that as it is how I felt and your constant bickering and having to be right makes me feel comfortable enough to stand behind them.

What you don't want to grasp is that your gripe about the Pop Report not being user friendly isn't as important to most of us as it is to you. Most of us have developed very simple work-arounds. In fact, if the current format were to change, the ease in which some of us access and ultimately create our own database for searching might be minimized. It doesn't take a 4 year degree to work with Excel. In fact, it is rather simple and gives you more features that PSA would include if they reworked the programming.

Rather than condemn others that have figured out how to use it and tell us that you're not a computer expert, why not work with us and ask for advice on how we do it?

That about sums it up in a nutshell.

I just can't agree that going out of your way to make spread sheets and the like should be a necessity when dealing with PSA's Pop Reports. One simply shouldn't have to do so, no matter if it's easy for you or not. It's only my opinion and never was anything more. A bunch of people have agreed with me as well, so it's not as though I'm here a loner. And I'm sure there are many more who agree, but would rather stay away from this thread due to the overwhelmingly negative tone set by a few here who attack me at every twist and turn.

Again, you're being defensive and using others to validate your point (even though most have agreed with the premise). Why is it so important that you have to be right AND that you have to act like some martyr? Your actions to others is what brings about the responses that you get that tend to go off topic. The sooner you realize that, the sooner you might be able to accept what others are saying.

Again, there's NOTHING that says PSA has to provide the Pop Report. The fact that they do is fantastic. The fact that it is not as user friendly as some would like is something that we all have to deal with. Since so many things in life aren't as we wish they would be, successful people learn to adapt, adjust and move on. Complaining about something that we have little control over isn't necessarily going to change it. Heck, if it were that easy, our local, state and federal government wouldn't be in such a mess. With businesses going bell up, people out of work and the economy still not in full recovery, is it really that important to worry about a Pop Report that doesn't provide ease of use with a user friendly search function? Personally, I think not...

<< <i>I guess you are just overly sensitive. >>

    image >>

In case you missed it, the irony in your 'sensitive' statement was thick. Therefore, a hand smack against the noggin was in order. The only one that is overly sensitive here is you. Grow some thicker skin and accept that while some may agree with your original assertion/opinion/belief that the pop report's setup is antiquated (I happen to agree with that, btw), others are just fine with it the way it is. It could be better, but folks have learned to use other things like Excel to make it work better for them.

When does it end with you? For some reason, you seem to think I have some kind of personal vendetta against you. I'll remind you again that prior to this thread, I don't think we've had personal interaction beyond 5-7 times, including your quest for a Wagner in which I actually supported you. I have my CU profile set up to show 100 posts per page. Not counting your original post, you had replied no less than 27 times before I chimed in. Starting with your 4th post, you start getting ticked when folks aren't seeing things quite the way you do. Starting with post #5, you are clearly getting angry with others: "Only on this site can someone suggest ways to make the site better and get flack and negative responses over it. What were you expecting, everyone to agree with you. Do dissenting OPINIONS make you upset? Apparently so. So after your 27th post in the thread, which I've read all the way to the bottom, I decide to chime in with my OPINION. If you weren't so thin-skinned and argumentative, you'd learn to accept that others' opinions will sometimes differ from yours. If you weren't so combative when faced with differing opinions, you'd see much less of the so-called personal attacks.

When do you stop this and just act like a member of an online message board community? I'm not gonna dignify this question with a long response. I've more than earned my keep in this community, and that's not debatable.

Do you really need to continuously attack and/or slight me? Pretty much asked & answered. You've got 727 posts as I write, and we really haven't interacted in more than a handful of them.

When do you just leave me alone... Done ...and discuss the hobby? Do a little research, and you'll find that I already do that.

I see you on here all the time preaching how everyone needs to get along and be cordial and nice to each other, yet you can't be any more of troll. Really? Point out to me where I've been a 'troll', other than to help expose alts like Gio and Minty. I will admit to having problems with Justin (DrJ) and gecko, but that hardly makes me unique - there isn't anyone who hasn't been rubbed the wrong way by those two. Other than that, you'll find me to be cordial, supportive, and generally on topic. Like any board, there are some silly off-topic threads, and I've been part of those, too - not gonna apologize for that.

Stop posting in my threads if you don't have anything to add to the actual discussion and stop quoting me if you don't think I have anything to say that interests you. Prior to this, I've made a total of three posts in this thread, one of which I quoted you. As far as not posting in your thread(s), kma - I'll post wherever and whenever I want. I was on topic with my initial posts, you just didn't like what I had to say.

You are like a teenage bully. Get away from me already. image

You are more defensive with your posts than I could ever be. I simply said what I believe and that's that. I pointed out that others have agreed, which is a fact. WHOOPTEE FREAKING DO. Then you respond with some douchey diatribe against me that just sounds pathetically obsessive, then I respond, and you call me defensive when I have to answer to your inane ramblings about how awful I am. lol If you disagree with me, so be it. I don't care. So why the douchey diatribes? Why do you think I care that some people disagree? Because I disagree with them? lol Explain how that makes sense. You are basically telling me I have to change my opinion as soon as someone posts one that is different than mine. OKAY.

See, you've proven my point with this response. Insulting you doesn't work. Civility doesn't work. AGREEING with you doesn't even work!!! For someone that doesn't care that people disagree with them, you certainly waste a lot of bandwidth demonstrating just how much you do. I hope your real life is happier than it appears on the boards. If I were as tightly wrapped, I'd have stepped into traffic long ago . . . In fact, if I reply to you again, I should step into traffic!

I think you and a few others care too much about what I say or think. All I have done is state my opinions and backed them up with my reasoning. That's kind of what usually happens on a message board. There really is nothing else going on here other than that, so I don't get your animosity towards me. Take a deep breath... relax. I'm not here to harm you.

<< <i>My $.02: You and a handful of other posters make this forum unbearable. I would simply leave, but there are posters who are actually knowledgeable and respectful and I like to keep up with them. You and the others know who you are and you are the reason this forum is a joke to all other online communities. It's funny, you are calling me names and attacking me... and for what. It's okay that you are fine with sitting on your hands and taking whatever PSA sticks in your mouth. Enjoy it. >>

    Stay on topic!!! >>

Okay. So why do you think it's a non-issue for a multi-million dollar company to offer an outdated online experience in this, 2010? >>

    I'm rather dumb-founded here!

    1) You can easily search all the cards of a given player for a given year! For Derek Jeter in 1993... go to baseball... go to 1993... Execute your search for Derek Jeter selecting the option to only search in Baseball >> 1993!

    2) What the heck kind of research is necessary that what they provide... FOR FREE... isn't really good enough??? Why on earth would anyone need to sort a list of Derek Jeter cards from 1993 to see what has the fewest 8's graded?

Now, onto the real issue at hand... I'm sure it's fun to complain, but at least grasp for a hint of reality!

PSA does not get to be a multi-million dollar company by making poor business decisions! What does PSA get out of making a substantial investment in technology/manpower to enhance online services that, in essence, aren't broken?

Are you telling me that, if PSA were to improve the Pop Report (of all things), that you and 1000's of others will most certainly submit more cards for grading each month and/or year? Yeah, I didn't think so... and I'm sure, neither does PSA... or it might have been done already! What is their ROI for such a change?

Would you be happy if they said they are going to make a considerable investment in improving their FREE online services, so much so that it will do all things that everybody could imagine... but it means that grading will now cost you $2.00 more per card, on average? Or that Specials will go away for the next 12-24 months to make such an investment feasible (which I'm sure they wouldn't do anyway because that too would be a poor business decision).

You are looking at this completely how it affects YOU... not how it affects everyone, and least of all... how it affects PSA!

Which is exactly why a multi million dollar company like PSA, and many of us, can look at sportscardtheory's complaint(s) as a non-issue!!!

I hope that answers your question(s) image
