I have missed snipping on so many different auctions for so many different reasons ..............
usually I will have the window open and ready to snipe with x minutes to go, and take a short walk out of the office, and get distracted for any number or reasons
I always get mad at myself........
but most of the time, my bid would have been an under bid anyway, so that eases the pain
But in addition - "I needed to use the restroom" Happened to me once. I thought I could hold it in, but in the end I thought I could make my business quick, but no such luck! Didnt care that much, there was a nicer example of the same type coin ending two or three days later - and I won that one...lol
With a minute to go, my wife entered the room. She slowly caressed my shoulders. She whispered impure thoughts into my ear. Her massages drifted to my lower extremities. This continued on as the timer counted down slowly. At ten seconds she took an uncomfortably strong grip and whispered horrific Lorena Bobbit like sayings. I gasped and slowly holstered my sniping finger and proceeded to back away from the computer.
If I say something in the woods, and my wife isn't around. Am I still wrong?
Shucked peanut shells jammed the "enter" key. This really happened. Like the time I drove this other guys car and when I applied the brake, a bottle rolled out from under the seat and stopped the break pedal from going all the way down...I was half way through the intersection before I stopped. Good thing no one was coming or law enforcement wasn't around...Sir, please explain how this bottle of Early Times got under your seat?. ~sheesh~
I had to sneeze, sometimes you just got to sneeze. You know the kind that takes three to get it over with. Needless to say i was a little late hitting the button. I went to bed not to excited i missed that one.

Or, I can't believe I didn't win. After all, I set my max. bid to 80% of the price guide.
OR, My kid signed in on my account and retracted my bid to use my Paypal slush fund on some tec-dec's.

" I never miss a Snipe, I all ways bid $5000. more than the current bid" ain't missed one yet
I'd guess its partially a 'thrill of the chase' type of thing. Just my guess.
If I want a piece, I submit my max bid days in advance.
No muss, no fuss.
Not as thrilling to be sure, but I'm not glued to my computer, either.
Am I missing something, aside from the previously mentioned 'thrill'?
<< <i>I'm no expert to be sure. Don't bid on a lot of stuff on ebay.
