I scored on my quarterly Secure+ submission!

Did this one at Vegas, was a 65 BN in an ancient holder, thought it was 66 all day long, looks like PCGS agreed:

1852 large cent grade

Not a bad trip after all, made up for my casino donations.

It's a fantastic coin, though it may very well have been worth more in an "ancient holder".

Sorry about the link, guess it's not on the shared part yet. The order # is 20403543.

As for the slab, it looked like a PCGS 4 on the Conder slab history link.

We know what the order number is. Have you "Shared" the order yet in your Personal PCGS?

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

If you have any more nice coins in ancient holders, I highly recommend that you leave them there.

Looks like it's in the shared orders now, did have it shared before, just did a refresh and it's now there as shared.

I generally don't mess with the coins in the old holders, have several 'doilies' and other early types lying around, but no NGC black slabs. Figured this one was worth the quarterly submission.

Got my results on my 22 D cent tonight. Neither a grade up or a +. Guess I should not complain since some have got a No grade on former slabbed coins.

Just got my results tonight as well. I sent in a 1878-S MS64 Morgan and it upgraded to a 65. Does that make it a 64++?

Very nice fields and luster. For 1852, I prefer a cent with cleaner dies and full stars and denticles. This one doesn't have the luster yours has but shows the full stars. It is in an MS65BN OGH.
