  I was a collector for almost 50 years before I was able to acquire one of these eagles (acutally it's on a half eagle).

  On a visit to the Durham Western Heritage Museum in Omaha with our local coin club, set up by our illustrious CoinHusker, I was given the opportunity to take some photos of a few things left over from the Byron Reed collection... which sadly, was sold in auction by our not so illustrious forefathers of the city years before this posting.
  
  Still, this was very appealing to the eye, even under glass and guard.

  Among my favorite eagle displays are the Schoolgirl dollar as posted by Lake on the right side with the Shield Earring reverse on the left side, having the two eagles square off against each other.
  
  I am not talented enough to do it on the boards, but someone might.
  
  I am pretty sure that both are pictured on the pattern site.

  I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.
