Amazing Blue Green Double Date Indian Cent!!

ThePennyLadyThePennyLady Posts: 4,516 ✭✭✭✭✭
I am so thrilled I was finally able to add this unique, colorful and rare 1894/94 Indian cent to my collection! I know there are some who don't really care for blue and green copper image, but this coin in hand is so stunning, lustrous, and really amazingly beautiful - and it fits perfectly in my set. I just love it!

Oh, duh! (And thank-you.) I guess I never thought to venture there because I knew I couldn't afford to shop in your store. But "window shopping" can be fun...

Picture omitted, here, to conserve bandwidth, but that's one cool error...and variety! image

PS: BTW, just curious, you being a dealer, do you normally pick these up at wholesale? Or, rather, is it typical between dealers to transact at retail when it's understood the purchases are going to their personal collections? Just always wondered at that...

Not even dealers can buy these rare beauties at anywhere near a "wholesale" price - whatever that may be (is there such a thing as "wholesale" for coins like these?) As far as one dealer knowing a coin is going into another dealer's personal collection, I don't believe that makes much difference either. I can say that what I pay to own very unique and beautiful coins like these two would not make it easy to turn right around and resell them and still make a profit.

You know, it's funny Charmy. I've never found these errors to be particularly engaging, but as long as you're out there making a market for them... well, perhaps you would like some help...image

There is a typo on the label, it should not say MS64BN it should be MS64BG!! I do not know where they learned how to spell green. image
