Haven't seen anything dated 2009 or 2010 in circulation at all. Have only seen a couple 2008 dated coins (couple cents, one nickel).

Last years Lincolns were seldom see in circulation. I found more as eyeball finds and metal detecting finds. I have zero of the 2010's.

I got a few capitols from the dunkin donuts,...next day got a few more and finally bought a roll from the woman for fifty cents.
every so often one of the logs cabins, but none of the other ones and no shields..but bought a roll Pand D from a vendor at a coin show, $4 each. Really want to open them up and pick through for the best looking ones but from what I hear grades are stalled at 66

You know, I don't even look for those newfangled things, more like I want the Wheats I see occasionally in the dishes.

  • I've always wondered if it was wrong to take a rare coin out of a take a penny leave a penny tray?

The little store in the office building across the street from our shop has a penny tray by the cash register. There is a handwritten sign:

    "Need a penny? Take one.
    Need two pennies? Take two.
Need three pennies? GET A JOB!"

I saw a 1926 wheat in one of those plexiglass donation jars at the local pharmacy awhile back. I asked the cashier if I could buy it - I donated a $1 for it. Her only wonderment was how I noticed the cent was so old in the first place.
