    Nice pick-ups image
The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

    Thanks,
Even though the quarter was low grade, it had some nice details. I love old american coins with genuine wear.

That 1808 half looks to be undergraded.
Some coins are just plain "Interesting"

Nice coins. I agree that the '08 is very nice and definitely not overgraded.

Hold on there you NY cowboyimage I'm seeing a wear pattern that might be called 40, the reverse right wing facing not so much. But, I'm not seeing any evidence of luster whatsoever so if the image is accurate I agree with the 35. There also might be hairlines etc. that kept it down. Now, my friend Mr. Rocco, please don't start getting too lenient on these.

Edit to add, sometimes the TPG don't care about the luster, sometimes they do.

But look at that right wing stman!
Look at those arrowheads and the hair above her eye...
I bet there is some luster hidden under that hazy toning.
As for lines, I think I am seeing some N/S stuff going on, but not too bad from here.

Now I would feel a lot better with your grade if you gave her the once over with the coin
in hand and looking at her from angles only known to geometry majors...image

Good to hear from you and I hope you are doing well.

And I have said it before and I will say it again....
He is one smart man that stman.

image Yeah, it's been a while but I'd like to tear it up in person. I do like the coin though. I tear up my own coins and never add a point for ownership.

So Jrocco, would you call it a 45+ and would that be a high end + middle, or low end +? image

It does have some luster, and the toning in hand is very nice. Just tough to photograph.

Nice 1808 half dollar. If you paid VF money for that coin...pat yourself on the back. Regardless if it "slabs" as a VF or EF, it's a nice coin worth premium money.
