How come no picture of the actual fountain shown on the coin? Were you allowed into or even close to the building? TD

The small one in the front is something artificial they brought in. They used it for the "official release coin dump". They called it something like that.
Just got back ,your pics are much better than mine. I ended up with 50 rolls, got 20 of them postmarked with the dedication station post office stamp. Crowd wasn't that bad.
The portrait looks so much better than the state quarter spaghetti hair, even if it has been slightly enhanced from the original. George has finally had something to eat, too. The bidet ... well ... makes me wonder if the other side has Homer's cheeks on it.
What is the large coin shown in the plaque in pic #3?
I'm with Coaster -- any discussion/info on the pucks?

Thanks! Alot of fun actually. Buses full of kids was nice to see. It had a warm, American feeling to it. I never got close enough, but I think it's the artist's rendering of the quarters reverse. The 2 small ones are 1st day minted P & D quarters said Moy. I'll go back & get a pic of the plaque someday. I heard nothing about the pucks. I had asked the park office, a few weeks earlier, and they said they wouldn't be available here, on this day.
Aye -- thanks for the update and the PUCKS. Looks like a great day and good to see the public involved in the event.
Is it true what they say about patrons of the resort?

That appears to be a super clean example. Nearly perfect. Is the coin in the second set of pictures the same coin as in the OP? Nice pictures, smokincoin!

Those are probably close to being from bonafide new dies. They look fresh, anyhow!
Good Pics, Smokin'
I knew it would happen.
