2010 U.S. Mint Product Line

Are there any U.S. Mint products that really jump out this year as in prior years (i.e., UHR, Reverse Proofs, etc)? I did take advantage of the Boy Scout Proofs (50ea), but don't see too much on the U.S. Mint's release schedule that sparks any real interest.

I'm overseas once again (this time to Afghanistan) so it's been a little difficult to keep up with everything going on with numismatics and the forums.

they have pared down their product line.

are you interested in 5 ounces of buillion silver with the national park quarter designs on them?

you could always look to foreign mint products.

I do recall reading about the 5-Oz bullion and definitely will be a buyer depending on premium. Foreign mint products don't interest me, but thanks for the idea.

Towards the end of the year, there's some Lincoln related stuff. The golden dollars and the gold spouse. But until then, it's 3/4 of a year of legislated garbage.

The $100 proof Platinum Eagle might be worthwhile, depending on mintage.

I'm currently in Kandahar working as a Dept of the Army civilian. I'll be back home in six weeks or so, depending on how this Iceland volcano acts! image

It seems strange to see a Liberty Head with 2010 date on it ... I wish they had left off all the extraneousstuff and just had the original obverse designs ... put all the c**p on the reverse.

The official distributor we deal with says they are hearing vague rumors of a July release, but I will believe it when I see it.
