Has the Everyman sets broken price continuity

Typically prices escalate as grades escalate- However, as I watch auctions I see AU58's hammering for money equal to 63/64 money-

What series are you tracking I have not seen that in the two I am working on. Walkers and Peace dollars have not shown that to me.
  • Are you working on late date Walkers? Because early date walkers are exactly what I am talking about...

Also today- I watch a PCGS AU58 1921 Peace Dollar hammer for 375+juice. That is equal to what the 63's and 64's were hammering for.

Yes I am working on the later date Walkers and finding very few listed but most that are sell pretty close to the price guide I have found. I am starting to watch some of the earlier dates hoping to upgrade some of my circulation grade coins also.
As for the Peace the 1921 is often over priced for some reason. I think many are trying for the upgrades which can be a driving factor for many AU58 coins as some that I have got look as nice as the 63' and 64's I have owned.
From what you are saying I might not be seeing the trend as much as you. As I am in the race sometimes and not seeing the whole field.
  • I've seen a few AU58 Walkers go for MS money but usually they are low pops or PQ for there grade. I believe one forum member had a standing offer for an AU58 46-D at 100.00.

The Everyman registry has dried up some supply but recently I've seen more and more AU Walkers on ebay. AU58's have been in demand long before Everyman because you could get more bang for your buck. Keep searching don't be in a hurry and the coins will come to you. I just picked up a AU58 1934-D and a 1920 for less than price guide and a 1935-d for EF moneyimage

I had several AU58's in my recent eBay auctions, including two in PCGS holders. Results were nothing special and would indicate a price decline of about 10-15% versus 18 months earlier.

They were not Walkers or dollars.
    All glory is fleeting.
