I just love patterns. They are so cool because they are different from what you normally see. This one is definitely an awesome piece! Is the planchet copper?

yes Copper patters are my favorite. They are just so unique
Heritage images are better than they used to be, but I still would not rely on them to determine much regarding color on copper. It is a cool pattern, though.
My opinion is that you should not this buy this coin or most any coin without seeing it in hand or having an agent look at it for you.
If the the coin is really great you will probably not win it if a pattern buyer/dealer/Legend has actually seen it in hand and likes it. You will likely get outbid.
If the coin is boinked/questionable or not all there you will probably win the coin since you put out a nice max bid. ( paraphrasing you)
I do not like your odds. I'm especially surprised that you tipped your hand like this. Strange.
I do like this pattern.......MJ

true i probably shouldnt have mentioned that lol. But hey if im outbid then it wasnt meant to be.
I dont know much about US patterns but I agree the colour from the pictures doesn't look right. It reminds me of a similar pattern discussed recently and thought to have been helped by NCS.

I don't like the variousness in the copper color.

Excellent! I am glad to hear that you have seen the coin, and it is attractive and unboinked based on your in-hand inspection.

Sorry . I'm jaded.
Everything I submit to PCGS comes up altered or improperly cleaned,
