1871 Shield Nickel varieties?

Are there any interesting (scarce) 1871 Shield Nickel varieties? Are there any "popular" die crack variations? If someone can direct me to any literature written on that particular coin, I'd really appreciate it. I've seen a lot of generic Shield Nickel literature but nothing that's specific by year.

    Fletcher and Peters & Mohon were both specific by year. I'll take a look if Mr. Spindel or others don't pipe up.

    1871 is not a particularly interesting year for shield nickel varieties. There are a couple minor DDRs, and a couple of moderately interesting RPDs.
