Agreed. Convicted second degree murderers and serial rapists are probably serving less time than Noe.
A lot of people here in Ohio have been calling the state out on this issue for a while. They turned the situation (in which they ended up making money iirc - even with "closed" auctions with select dealers and bulk lots ) into an excuse for them to put into effect a coin sales tax.

But I am reminded that Paul Harvey was famous for uncovering facts related to the topic at hand so that he could proclaim "and now you know the rest of the story!"

You missed the part where the state did a closed bid auction with only a select few dealers who were hand selected by the state. Much more money could have been recovered had they offered the coins for sale in a more open way.
