Well, I was standing in a train station with a friend when she bought a one-way ticket out of a machine, and she got a 2010 Fillmore dollar in change!

In Northern California the pennies appear once in a while. The nickels and dimes more seldomly. I haven't seen any quarters yet. The 2009 coins in all denominations are beginning to appear much more frequently now.
My experience from travelling is that new coins appear mostly in the same few areas of the country while everywhere else ends up with the recycled coinage. The Bay Area, New York, Washington D.C. and the Dallas, TX area are the places where I've noticed more new coins tend to circulate.
I've hardly ever seen a new coin in the Las Vegas area and I go there a lot. That's strange considering the volume of coinage that circulates there.

received about 7-8 2010 cents in change. Weird that some of you have never even seen 2009 quarters so far. I've gotten bunches of 2009 quarters and pennies. The only 2009 that I've had a hard time finding is the log cabin. Maybe 2-3 all last year, but the other three pop up in my change every so often.
None, unless you let me count the dollar coins from the Government and bank. I have seen the last two 2009 Lincolns in circulation, but not the first one. At this point, my memory fails me on the second.
Most 2009 Coins - Nickels & Dimes... have not been released yet as the Fed has not allowed them out. They did get them from the US Mint but said they wouldn't release them as they be inundated with people bringing so many in to their local banks. The only report I heard of that some were released was in Pureto Rica. Have a friend who had some Nickel rolls on ebay for $25 a roll... I purchased 4 rolls (mostly for a local dealer whom I help out supplying.
Personally, I found only - 2 shield penny's... thats it! I quess you can say this is my opinion or my 2 cents... lol shasta7

Not one yet. Finally got my first Capitol cent earlier this month. Have seen all but the 6th Territory quarter in change. I still have not even seen a 2008 D nickel yet, let alone a 2009 or 2010!
None yet. But Monday I went to the Philadelphia Mint. In the lobby next to the coin shop is a change machine that gives you 5 Fillmore 2010-P dollars for a $5 bill, so I got some.
