Not for Circulation Kennedys

don129don129 Posts: 550 ✭✭✭
Since 2002 they haven't been made for circulation but I just found a bunch of 2002's, 2007's & 2009's in circulation (and a handful of 40%'ers.

Are they worth saving???

    Evidently someone didn't think so.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    Usually, no.
What usually happens is someone buys a roll, or a bag, goes through them to get what they want, and spends the rest.
If they have circulation rub/marks, then they are "cool" from the standpoint of "they didn't circulate but you found them".

I would like to find some just to put in the dansco, so I do envy you image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I'd save a *couple* just for the novelty. The price is right.

.....you're doing your part in continuing the circulation of the half dollars. the mint would be proud of you! image

.....too bad they were not part of the direct ship program instead of the 'premium' rolls or bag program. image

  • You've always got the silver value of the 40's. The newer ones might not see enough appreciation to make saving them worthwhile.

Most of the time when I list ones from mint sets or rolls I have searched on eBay I do good to get a bid at face value so now I just buy coffee with them.

We bought a $100 bag of 2010-P&D for store stock. About 40 of the D and a few of the P were so ugly I just spent them.
