Might as well start an Oregon Thread...

All this Commem talk has got me fired up... alas this is my only remaining one. I know there are a lot of nice Oregons held by members of this forum, so let's see some of them....

Both such beautiful coins and an outstanding design to begin with! Prime example of what coin designs looked like in the golden days compared to the material put out today.

I wasn't even thinking about the permanent marking on my shoulder, I was only thinking about this coin that I once owned. image

I always like to see MJ's, tough to beat that one. But a couple of you guys have sold close runner ups! A new Oregon is on my second, or maybe third, tier of "wants", until then I can live with this one.

You caught the good side of this one. I've always loved the design of this one...

Monsterman's ultimate Oregon. And he's right, along with the '34-D probably the toughest in high grade with this kind of eye appeal. I'm truly sorry I missed Greg at this Jan's FUN...

    Monsterman's '34-D
  • Dang! I was just thinking about starting to collect a set of these and here you guys that actually know what you are doing start firing up on Oregon Halves.

Probably one of my favorite coins out there. Helps that I grew up in Oregon though.

If I submitted that monster, my odds of it being graded would be nearly zero.
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.

Not my only Oregons but the only two I have with pictures. The '26 is an MS-65, and the 28 is an MS-66.
