  Depends on the type set. 7070? I'd pick the 44s. A true type set, the 17.

  Although the 1917 is the much nicer and more desireable coin, I have always been of the school of thought that a type set should show examples of the attributes/design details of each type of coin, inlcuding the mint mark. That being said, wherever possible, I've always tried to choose examples with a mint mark (e.g. 1917 WLH would have 2 examples showing each of the different mint mark locations).
  
  But, on the other hand, from pure WOW factor, the '17 is the obvious choice!

  I'd go with the 17 myself. It's not as common as the 44 and has character. Just my 2 cents.

  WOW, both of those are killer dimes man! Id go with the 17 in a heartbeat though, its a sweet coin.
