Wouldn't this 1909 VDB be graded a 66RB or possibly a 65RB because of the corrosion spot on the right wheat stalk, if it were resubmitted today?

Take a look

No. It is still more than 95% RD and deserves it. Bummer about the spot but that's copper for you.

Beautiful coin .... that spot looks as if it is 'curable' without affecting the coin. Not sure, photographs can be deceiving. Cheers, RickO
  • If you have to fix it, its ruined.

A 66rd to me should not have any spots, but I do realize some start in the holder. And there looks to be 'spit' spots on the obv. Id pass for a 66rd. Ive seen alot better in lower graded holders too.

The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
