Even if it were graded, I think the soft strike, particularly see the mintmark and LIBERTY, would make it a MS64 at best. Hope I'm wrong, if it's your coin. Good luck. >>
I owned this piece for years, it has been graded by ngc ms-64. This coin keeps getting darker and more colorful as it sits in the slab...
You're in good hands with the 64. Usually this date and mintmark are more "hammered", although me thinks the
toning has a lot to do with it.
Yep.........there's a weakness on the reverse from the tail (which is soft) on through the denomination and mintmark.
Notice the weak rear leg.
The head is close to full, as evidenced by the corresponding top feather on the Indian. With Buffs, when that top feather is struck up, the buffalo's head is less shallow. This has always been a problem for the series......too much metal has to be pressed into the planchet, and usually it isn't with a lot of specimens due to strike pressure or other reasons.

I do think the enormous size of your images emphasize hits and other distractions.
Here is my PCGS MS64, a coin I've always felt was undergraded by a point. Note the crispness of detail in LIBERTY, hair knot, date, bison's tail and mane, etc.

Ouch..that coin would have went 65 for sure IMO - and that would have been a significant price jump too.
