Are 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 Saflips ok for .999 gold?

or, is .999 too soft for anything other than a capsule?

I just want to make sure that any potential for abrasion etc. is minimized. Thanks.

.999 gold may be "soft," but not that soft....never had any problems with storing Gold in flips.

If your worried about getting them scuffed or marked then yes , those are not as protective as a capsule.24k gold is so soft it can me marked with a fingernail. My Dad once had a 24k chain link bracelet , he lost it playing golf just from the movement/energy of swinging the club , it went flying off somewhere and i guess unknown to him.

    if you want it minimized,
    then a capsule is stronger.

OK yes, but I would use an Air-Tite for long term storage.

Put the air tight inside the flip should be better.
