    If it wasn't an 81-S I'd say 66 for sure.


    I'll say 66 anyway, but no PL.

    it has to be either a 65 or 66.

    image The coin is graded MS65. I like the toning and thought it was PQ for the grade. The coin is brighter in hand and the marks appear more in line with the assigned grade.

    That's a nice, solid technical-65. Black and White those photos, and you'll see that. As such, it's clear to me, PCGS didn't "bump" this one for any toning. As such, market-wise, I believe it can/should go "over book."

    I did pay 20% over greysheet ask but felt the eye appeal warranted the premium.

    You've got a good eye. By "solid" 65, I mean the TPG didn't see this one as a 64, and kick it up for the toning. That's been known to happen on these, from time to time. This one's a 65 all day long, and a strong one, at that. You didn't go wrong going 20-over, here (IMHO)...
