I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Hmmm. Never thought of it that way.

Does this mean I have to wait 900 years to submit it? image

Maybe not first strike, but clearly early release.

What's a Native American coin? Is that like a politically correct Sac dollar?

OK, fair enough, they want to differentiate these from the regular-issue Sac dollars for the different reverses and edge-inscriptions. I don't know why they don't just call them Indian dollars, then. We have Indian cents. It just seem like a bunch of politically correct BS, you ask me.

Yeah, sorry for getting this a little off-topic, Lee...that is a real strange error! I wonder how they goofed it up like that. Or maybe it's not an error...

Post Mint Damage in the roller?

I think that based on the other recent rim grading episode this would classify as damage with PCGS.

They have had more trouble with the edge design on the dollar coins. I think they need to be redesigned with the stuff on the reverse or obverse. By the way, super cool find!

    Uhhhh....................no.

Weakening in the edge lettering for these Philadelphia coins shows across the top of the 13th star and on more advanced weakening, continues across the middle of the 2 and then to the middle of the first 0. On this particular coin (I do have others) the missing part of the letter is just the left of that 0 giving the appearance of a 9.

    image

    image

In the images above, that top coin does have a contact mark at the exact location to create the look of a 9 but if you look at the 2 on the left, the missing area of the 2 is untouched.

The 2 is untouched on the lower coin as well.

BTW, these are different coins than what was originally posted.
