Is this real?

At first glance I thought it was 100% fake, but now I'm doubting...What say you, guys?

If it is real, I would think it would have graded a little higher. My guess is fake, but not sure.

It looks genuine and most likely possesses heavy hairlines which can't be seen in the images,. There is nothing unusual about that for a Proof coin.

Edited to add: A coin of that type and value certainly is uncharacteristic for that seller, based on his completed transactions/feedback, however.

In this case the reason appears to be that the seller's minimum bid of $49,000 was not met.

What good would a reason provided do? Either it ran the course of the 3 day listing, or it was sold via another venue. Are you thinking you missed an opportunity to bid on this? If so, just pick one of the other active items of this seller's and use the "Ask seller a question" link to inquire about it.

A guy who calls himself coindevil posted it on Vamworld. One of the guys on Vamworld said it is also for sale on Craigs list in the Portland Oregon area. . What are we coming to when we sell legitimate collector coins on Craigslist

So I just commented there that you need to meet coindevil, or whoever is selling this in a dark alley and look at it. I am sure someone on Vamworld will give me some grief about that.

I thought it was a catch-all phrase used even when ebay removes an item that is counterfeit or there was some other listing violation. Maybe the wording is different when an item is forcibly removed?

When Ebay removes a listing you will see a message that says "This listing has been removed, or this item is not available....." If a seller ends the listing early or it ends at the originally scheduled time, you will see a different message.
