Anyone have approx values for common cards in PSA 2 for the rarer backs? What should I expect to pay for a Lenox, Hindu, Carolina, or American Beauty? Thanks.
Ultra rare backs trade so infrequently that any "guide" is really nothing more than a guide. The T206 estimator is one method I use to estimate what a card should cost. Another is I look for what Levi is selling it for and divide by 2.
Pricing for these backs is highly dependant on player on the front, appearance of the front, appearance of the back, etc. that a general guideline is tough. This is a question better asked on Net54 due to the significant level of expertise on this set over there.
As a point of reference, a common Broadleaf 460 in approx VG (raw) condition sold recently for $4k. General consensus on that board is this was a bargain price. Generally what you will hear when asking about pricing for Broadleaf 460, Uzit, Drum is "if you have to ask, you can't afford it". Figure low to mid 4 figures for most of these cards if you can find them in decent shape.
The backs you mention, Lennox, Hindu, American Beauty, etc. can be found with some searching. The T206 estimator mentioned is a good starting point which uses a multiplier to determine the pricing for these cards. The multplier is a nice clean way of ballparking a price for a card with these backs. Enter in some common cards with common backs and then enter in a card with the back you are interested in. The multiplier can be determined from the price. I have 2 of those 3 backs in my collection and the prices were right around or under the calculated estimate. I do not yet have a Lennox back or a Carolina Bright back.

I just picked up a Polar Bear without any premium, so maybe the prices are down a little because of the market, but the last two Hindu psa 1's on ebay sold for over $200 I think and they were not big names. American Beauty does not come up often and the same with Carolina. The last Carolina 1.5 sold for $250.
The one thing I do not know about those sales is if the are rare pictures or poses. I do not think they are though.

Prices are probably down the last month because I stopped supporting the market. Damn I spend a lot of money on this set. I have a number of Polar Bear cards and the premium on those has only be a couple of dollars. Maybe 10% based on my buying in the last 6 months for commons.

For those interested in the rarer backs, there is a Piedmont Factory 42 on the Net54 boards in a PSA 4 right now for $325. Seems like a good deal to me but that always happens when I'm cash poor.

I think it's been asked, but is he at all receptive to offers for semis, or does he just hold on to them indefinitely?? He has a $10 VCP card at $20 on CC that I'd like, but....
Oh well, at least it's better than when he was running the same card on the bay for $24 without success.

That is a nice looking card. I do not think I have seen that back before. Thank you for allowing me time to purchase my polar bear without the premium. Now I am hooked. Let's hope we are not bidding up the prices against eachother anytime soon.
Just bought a couple of cards from Levi's online store. Not counting varieties within back types, or the Cobb back, I count 15 diff back types. Sound right?
American Beauty backs are not tough, they do have a following though, many collectors like that they are much narrower than the other 16 brands.
Brown Hindu backs are not real tough, the Red Hindu is very tough. The other 2 you listed are much tougher too, Lenox is the hardest, followed by Carolina Brights.

The narrow cut on American Beauty backs make them very difficult to get in a PSA holder without the MC qualifier. My biggest issue with SGC is they don't add the qualifier so you have to be real careful with the centering of both the front and the back when buying SGC graded AB cards.

And I'm absolutely positive his wife/girlfriend/significant other will greatly appreciate that on valentine's day.
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

As for current retail values, I have not kept up with that set.

Beware of the Levi.

Uzit IMO could be the hardest, harder than Lenox.
Some consider Cobb a back while some don't.
