some gold bullion and silver bullion, some 90%, some coins I like (not too expensive so if they drop in value, its not a big drop, AND finally some cash on hand so I can buy and flip from flea markets, yard sales, estate sales, etc. Can't go wrong with this. This is what I've been doing and I've been doing good, but I am using far far far far less money.

Coins or collectables - todays debt can be paid off with tomorrows inflated dollars.
"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." I'd give 7k to each one of my brothers and sisters (I have three of each in which I am the youngest of the 7) - Were all pretty close and with the times being tough they could all use it. Then I'd use some of the 8k left and buy a new (used) car. Kinda sucks when you have to scrape ice off the INSIDE of your windshield during winter time . (I currently have a 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme with a probable leak in the windshield)
The rest of the money would go to having the bills paid off for the year (car insurance, cell phone, rent ( only $100/month - still live at home with the Ps - the advantage of being a young buck ). Then all the money I made from work that year I'd spend on coins because I'd know my bills are already taken care of with nothing to worry about

But if I had to buy coins with the money, I guess I'd shop for small eagle silver and classic head cents.
