I just thought I would show my graded collection of Dodgers rookie cards I have as of now. I still need several key LA Dodgers rookie cards as well. Shown below the graded cards are a couple of the raw auto cards too which will eventually get slabbed.
<< <i>I remember when 92B came out and ya couldn't give it away >>
Heh, I remember being at my local grocery store back in 1992, and seeing a bin full of 92 Bowman jumbo packs, marked down to 4 for $1. No one wanted them. I didn't touch them because I still remembered how Bowman sucked in 89, 90, and 91. Funny that 90 and 91 Bowman key rookies sell well these days. I was saving my money for the super cool 1992 Fleer Ultra!
<< <i>Brian, I love your project and this thread. Keep the great cards coming. >>
Thanks Brett, As a keep buying these already graded cards it makes me realize how incredible your raw cards collection has become.

Funny story. I makes me realize how lucky I was being out of card collection from the early 80's to the early 2000's.
Nice Piazza. Loved the guy when he played on DA METS!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Special thanks to member jacksoncoupage (Dylan ) for sending me this super nice n/mt signed Eric Karros card for free. It's greatly appreciated and I like it better than the other Karros card I have.
<< <i>Brian, Nice Piazza pick up. Love that Bowman card, but really like the 92 Fleer Update. Great project >>
Thanks Bobby, I really like the Bowman too, but the 92 Fleer card is high on my list, but the PSA 10's are not out there like they were earlier this year and last year.
Brian
<< <i> Nice Piazza Brian, Your coming along nicely on this project. >>
Just picked up this 1981 Fernando Valenzuela Fleer Sticker already slabbed. I really wasn't looking for one, but it was cheap enough to get.
This Hideo Nomo card is actually from my wife's collection she bought when she was in college. My wife put it right into the holder too. It go into my TTM stack.
Here are some more cards that will be going into my TTM stack. The Fleer cards are from a Dodgers group of cards I purchased from Brian (Bkritz). Thanks very much Brian for a great group of awesome cards.
Hey Brian, just looked at your Dodger cards, Nice . I also have my Dodger box, mostly ungraded but a few graded. I have been doing Dodger Tickets (Graded) WS and Individual games. Tickets Look pretty cool in the PSA slabs. Will Scan a few when time Arises. But for now it 80s on the East coast and it Pool Time. Mark
Good luck on the cards Brian - the 75T is almost too nice to have signed.
The Welch card brings back memories: in game 2 of the WS - he struck out Reggie Jackson to save the win for the Dodgers! Rookies dream about stuff like that!
It was one of the most monumental battles I'd seen in BB! If memory serves - he had drug problems and pretty much trashed his own career?

That is a good memory..My parents were at the game and I still remember my father telling us how loud the crowd was when Reggie struck out. Actually Welch went on and had a solid career with the Dodgers and the Oakland A's. I think you are thinking of the Late Steve Howe who had drug problems.
It's been just over a month since my last additions, but I just received these excellent cards I bought from fellow member gregmo32. Thanks Greg for the excellent service and cards.
I've been meaning to update my collection in a Excel spreadsheet. This spreadsheet reflects only my graded collection and doesn't include any of my auto cards. I need to change the settings for the amount of cards I'm collecting, but the 8.74 grade average is acurate. Hopefully sometime next year I'll be able to start adding a few Brooklyn rookies to my collection.
I purchased another card from my list. Even though Adrian Beltre left the Dodgers to go to Seattle for a big contract I really enjoyed watching him play. His last year here in LA was an awesome season, but he hasn't come close to it since he left.
Hi everyone, It's been 2 months since my last update to this thread. I've been really busy with the family, work, and unfortunately had a family death we went through a couple of weeks ago. So my cards project made it to the back burner again.
I hadbeen looking for a nicely centered Bill Russell card in a 9 or a 8.5 and I'm fairly happy with my purchase. Also bought a decent Norm Sherry which I can now take off my list.
I have been on the fence about picking up Dodgers stars who came from other organizations, but I decided to pick up the Shawn Green as he was one of my wife's favorites...So I figured that would be a win win situation. lol
Brian ... nice additions to your collection. Enjoy them.
Sorry to hear about the death in your family.
STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
The first card is the 1963 Manny Mota card. This card looks stunning in person.
Also got this Bill Russell PSA 9 which is an upgrade from my current PSA 8.5.
And I got this 1985 Orel Hershiser card with auto. I was going to go the TTM route but I couldn't pass up on this card as it was already slabbed. I also have a PSA 10 card coming in the mail next week.
I'm also hoping to add a few key rookie cards in the next week or so. Wish me luck.
I also wanted to thank everyone who has made comments on this thread or through pm's.
This is going to be a cool collection when you are done. I love the Mota. I do not remember ever seeing that card, and it is beautiful. Send me a PM with your address, I want to send you a couple of cards.

<< <i>Brian, great looking set. The Wes Parker is sharp. >>
Thanks, I'm very happy with that card. Brian
Received this card on Saturday.
I remember when 92B came out and ya couldn't give it away - then it went white hot! But like anything that hot - it flew too close to the sun and....
I collect Brooklyn stuff from time to time - nothing like it.
Thanx for sharing
