Guess the grade, 1889-CC Morgan and 1942/1 Mercury *GRADES POSTED*

Just got my grades on these two pieces. Had an earlier thread on the 89-CC which was mixed on whether it would grade or not. I said I'd post the grade when it came in so might as well have some fun. I will say it did in fact grade so I am happy image the 42/1 graded as well which is nice because I found it in a bag of dimes i bought for melt!! Makes me extra double happy imageimage

So if you want to play here are the pics and I'll post the grades in a bit.

Hmmm do not remember if I guessed the CC grade in the other thread, but I would say, G4-G6. Cheers, RickO

Well I hope I'm being consistent if I posted on the earlier thread...which I do not recall. I have no opinion on the dime but the '89-CC is a G-06, and I see no reasons why it wouldn't have graded. The rim bruises are not significant enough to call it damaged.

looks AG3 to me(full rims please) but its a G4 by any TPG and nice VF30, also if the gunk on the dime is really green like the scan a q-tip and some acatone would help.

    G6 on the CC.

The green gunk is not really green. My poor photography skills are making it look that color. I did use some acetone on it before submitting just to be sure. Couple of people got the 89-CC correct but no one has yet got the 42/1 correct. I'll post the grades in about an hour just before I leave work.

OK, the cc must be G6 and the dime must be VF20. 30 and 35 have been taken and it's not 40 or above. I guess they could have knocked it down to 15 because of all the hits.

Errrr .... Make that a G-4, not G-6. No rim obv. and just partial to CC's.

Vf-20 on the dime but it will sticker

I bet the Dollar is a 6, MAYBE a shot at an 8 and I bet they gave the dime an XF

OK time to post the grades. No one got the dime correct. Everyone was too low. My pics must be really awful or something.

Why did everyone think the dime was so much lower?
