    250 pieces per pop?
What is the cost for an order?
    When in doubt, don't.

Can you still get airline miles using a credit card to buy $1 coins then turn them in to the bank and end up with free miles?
Who is General Failure, and why is he reading my hard drive?
  • No, they have a disclaimer now. Yet you can use 'em to pay for pizza and get lots of change - the pizza place near me asks me to get 'em 'cause the bank doesn't carry $1 coin in quantity.

No, I have only went thru about $8,000 worth of the $1 rolls and only about 1/2 went to Chase and never over $500 at a time. The teller told me that they got a memo from corporate warning about the $1 program and since they have to pay to ship the rolls back to the fed they lose money on the deal image

    And there lies the problem.

Instead of Chase disbursing the rolls to its merchant customers, they simply return them to the Feds.

They can't disperse them if the merchants don't want them.

so basically, they should be paying us to do their job for them.

what do you search for on the Sacs? any good errors this year?

  • I close my Chase accounts earlier this year - bad customer service plus fees like crazy = they don't want my business. I use two community banks and both take $1 coins. One even keeps some on hand for customers.

The direct ship program should be good for some free airline miles on the United Card! Woohoo!

    Problem Number 2!

BTW, its very interesting that the US Mint thinks small business owners peruse their website looking for ways to purchase coinage in "smaller" quantities which is the intent of the Direct Ship Program. image

Or that perhaps the folks that do order Direct Ship Dollars would have an impact on whether or not folks actually use them. image

Or that frogs actually fart! image

Collectors that are buying Direct Ship Dollars with their Mileage Plus Accounts are simply reaping the rewards on yet one more stupid decision by the Treasury Department!

    Hey, here's a thought:

If the US Mint really wants these to get circulated then WHY were the Presidential Direct Ship Dollars available for SPECIFIC Presidents and not simply random $250 boxes?
