Express Mail Problem Your Experiences
I almost never send or receive USPS Express Mail. My personal life and work do not require that type of service. However, in the last week I have received one express mail and sent out two more. The incomming express mail missed the guaranteed delivery time by 3 hours, not a big deal. The two Express Mail envelopes I sent out missed the delivery guarantee by 24 hours. Is this typical for Express Mail. How safe and reliable is it? -Planchet

I just wish they had a flat rate box, I dont like how flimsy the envelopes are.

Absolutely! Thats what the guarantee covers.
However, you must also be sure that you understand what times they are guaranteeing. In other words, Express Mail is not always overnight or even 24 hours later.
Often times, my Express shipments to PCGS only get "guaranteed" on the 2nd day at 3:00pm depending upon what time I actually mail them.
Next day 3:00pm usually requires I get them to the PO right at 7:00am.

On the two Express Mail envelopes I sent, my receipt shows the guaranteed delivery time of 3 PM the next day. They didn't even try to deliver either envelope until 2 days after I mailed them and thus they missed the guaranteed deliver time by a full 24 hours.
Dropped it off at 830am when the PO opened and it arrived the next day at about 1030am.
I was pleased. No idea what they guaranteed for times though, since I printed the label online.

If this is truely the case then I suggest you get to the post office and recoup your $35.00 ($17.50 * 2) as that is what the guarantee is, your money back on your postage.

I've always use the Express Boxes for this reason. Their huge, so normally I use alot of packing material, except the one to Jeremy,
