1884 morgan cc

I recently purchased a 1884 Morgan CC. It is in it's original GSA holder with certificate of authenticity. I am wondering if I should submit this coin for grading to PCGS or keep it in it's current state? Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

  • Leave it in the GSA holder.

Another option is NGC. They'll grade it and leave it in the GSA holder as is

Only if you think it is at least a 65, otherwise you will never recoup your grading cost.

    Negative BST Transactions:
  • Have PCGS put the GSA on the holder and have them send the original packaging back....

Whatever you decide to do, I recommend that you do not remove it from the original GSA plastic slab. If you decide to have it graded, I suggest that you use the NGC grading option to leave the coin in the original packaging.

Leave it as is. Why waste money and ruin a nice bit of history?
  • I will try to post a pic tonight...not very good at that. This will be a good time to learn. I have my boys birthday parties today and a baseball practice today.
