Hey everyone,
I have been searching through some half dollars that I got from the bank. I am finding a lot of the 40%'s and was wondering if its even worth keeping them for anything. I mainly am doing this to try to finish my set and to try and find maybe some older half dollars like franklins but this though popped in my head and I figured I might as well ask. Thanks.

i think you are misunderstanding the advert on the website.
it is 100 dollars of 1964 halves for much more then the face value.
since silver is, lets say 17 an ounce, that bag would cost 100 x 13..
or about 1300 dollars.
just an example using numbers out of my rear.
since it is out of stock you are not seeing the real price on the right.

don't feel bad. many of us, i included, had no idea what a 90% silver
half cost from a dealer before joining this board. i still find 90% silver
at my local banks to this very day which just goes to show most people
have no idea of its value.

You probably can if it's in stock. But assuming it were, I'd say roughly 14x is the going rate based on the price of silver.
