<< <i>I placed a small order with Apmex. I hope I get 'em. >>
Same here. If I don't get them, I am going to pull a RichR/Hines Ward and call them out on the forum.
56K $25
58K $10
260K $5
Can anyone confirm these numbers? I don't find them low enough to pay more than normal AGE premiums.

<< <i>would APMEX oversell them? It seems that they have "alert me" status on things they don't have in stock.... Just wondering. Maybe I should buy 5.
Yes. The message on their site during the pre-order period said something to the effect of "We expect the Mint to fulfill our orders, but in the event they can't provide enough, we reserve the right to substitute Maple Leafs and Kruggerands, etc in their place." It also said if you didn't agree to that possible substition, please wait until they were live and in stock to order.

I think that that out only applied if the Mint did not deliver any coins at all. The Mint did sell coins, it will deliver them next week, and I have every expectation that Apmex will cover all their sales.
The fact that they have raised their prices on their extras just means that they are good businesspeople.

Doesn't look like anyone should be running out of stock that quick.

The 2009 one-ounce is closing in on 1.2 million sold, and still commands a premium over earlier dates.
The fractional mintages are not low in absolute terms, but since there are no proof or burnished gold sets this year, many collectors may opt for the 2009 one-ounce and fractional bullion coins to continue having an uninterrupted date series.

<< <i>2009 bullion fractionals are still available at APMEX, but at a steeper premium.APMEX >>
I thought the prices were steep as well, but the premium is the same as if you were purchasing a "random year" (at least for the 1/10 oz; it looks like they're out of 1/4 oz and 1/2 oz random years). The price varies based on spot so if you're buying, it's kinda nice that gold dipped yesterday.

The way the Mint is going, I would not bet the farm on that.
