If You Could Afford Only One...2009 Proof Buff or 2006 MS70 Unc?

Which one would you pick?

A 2009 Proof at issue or a 2006 MS70 slabbed for about the same price?

I can't think of any reason why I would want either, but if forced to buy one it would be the MS coin. Same answer if asked about a series I would be interested in. I have never been a fan of proofs.
Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

I'd take the proof if the 2006 isn't the W UNC.

The 2009 proof mintage could be less than 50,000 which will make it the second lowest. The 2006 buffalo are the highest.

    Go for the proof.

Neither. I would take the amount these are worth and buy a nice old and rare dime.

The eagle is worth about $100 more so if they are the same price take it. Jerry

I'd rather have a classic half eagle but if forced to choose I would pick the 2009 proof.

I'd take either of these, sit on it six months, sell and then buy two nice old and rare dimes. image

I'd love to...for my Merc Unc collection, I'm "only" missing three 1916, 1921 and '21 D...where do I get any of those for the price of a single gold Buff?

As a collector who likes pretty coins, I'd take the Proof. I have no idea about mintages or investment potential between the two. The only Buffalo gold coin I have is a Proof.

I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
