And although it looks obvious that the date is 1961,
I've found many times that PCGS will put N.D.
(No Date) if they feel somehow that it might not be
that specific date, or they don't think it's 'dated'
enough. It seems to be arbitrary sometimes.

and have wondered if it was struck over another coin rather than off metal planchet
may aging eyes see what looks like a '43' in the field to the right of the hair braid
but have not discovered any other mercury dime areas
did you happen to get an exact weight before sending?
