<< <i>Just in case anyone was on the fence of whether or not it was him, here is a screen captures of PMs between Mintacular and me on SGC. Notice his response before he was banned (playing dumb, well not really playing), and then after finding out he was banned.

I just caught up on this...

Nick, that was like a 1st round KO on your part. You called him on it, backed it up and knocked him out. Solid.

    He'll be back
  • Did you catch the fact that he actually learned a little something in his short time here?

Notice his WTF message has a location; his Rat message does not...

see his time here was well spent...

<< <i>When I was a kid - the backs were important since we memorized stats of our favorite players and liked to spout them out to friends.

The backs of cards have a certain charm - and what you might find "dorky" might be appreciated by others.

I'm a collector of the pen & ink artwork that's on the backs of cards and find it to be a fun "area" of my collecting.

Also, to make it more interesting - sometimes Topps Heritage will give an entirely different cartoon on the related SP to the set. I can't wait for Topps to start selling the artwork for Heritage - I just hope I have deep pockets when it comes.

    An example:

Of interest - they didn't see the misspell - "colleting" - so it went into print that way.

I guess what I'm saying - in collecting it's all relative - what one might see as uninteresting and not relevant - to another, it's a treasure.

I've probably got about 150 pieces now - and Toppsvault sold all they had - most got sold in 1989 at the Guernsey Auction.

    Good question - Happy Thanksgiving

Same here - and I still enjoy the backs of the cards to this day...this may sound "crazy" to some but sometimes I enjoy looking at a checklist - yea, I've probably been card collecting too long. LOL

IMO the back is as important as the front.

Like mentioned, the stats on the back was a must read. I think it was 1967 Topps decided to cut down

on the number of stats and to me that was a problem. 71 too.

Some early Topps cards had that 'problem' as well.

The best was when they had the complete major and minor league stats.

    Good for you.
