Congratulations are in order for Bill Burd!
It just came to my attention that Club Archivist, Bill Burd, is the recipient of an American Numismatic Association Presidential Award. The honor was bestowed at the Illinois Numismatic Association Convention by ANA President Clifford Mishler (also a Club member). He cited Bill's dedication and contributions to the hobby by building a numismatic library with 12,000+ books, catalogs, periodicals, etc. and making it available to serious researchers and casual collectors who wish to learn more about the coins in their collection.
The ANA Presidential Award is given at the discretion of ANA President. Over the next two years, Mishler will present approximately 50 awards, but this was his first presentation.
