Does this 1882 $3 Gold look real?

If so, would it grade at PCGS?I have never dealt with gold and am curious. Seller's pics so coin not in hand.

    Looks polished if it's not the lighting.
    There's no immediate signs that I can see saying to me that it's a fake

    This coin looks like it has been harshly cleaned. This coin was heavily counterfeited by the Omega man counterfeiter. He marked his coins with a tiny greek letter omega within the upper loop of the R in LIBERTY.

    Hairlines everywhere. Details do look pretty soft.

    from the pics looks OK. something has been done to the coin, but that is a tougher date.

    Not a bad idea to get it in a holder.

    I don't see the mushy details you usually see in a fake, so if this is a fake it's a particularly well-made one. I wouldn't touch these things unless they were already certified authentic by one of the major TPGs.

    I agree. I also see a bunch of hairlines on the obverse, so whatever it is, it's been scrubbed.
