Fortunately I never have anyone come up to me at random in a store while I am shopping and challenge my shopping habits. It may have something to do with being 6'3" 230 lb but I digress.

That being said if a stranger challenges me there will be no second chance for either of us. Either he will take me out or I will take him out but most certainly I will not stand there and take the abuse from the punk. >>

I am reminded of a guy that was a member here a couple of years back that wanted to beat up everyone here. I wish I could remember his name. It was funny as hell. This guy was PMing people for their address so he can come over their house and beat them up. He said he was like a 12th degree blackbelt. Challenged to fight all who responded rudely to his threads.
Not accusing you Dr.J of that behavior, it just made me think of it.

    No it wasnt him night crawler. I remember plifter but the guy Im thinking of was worse. He didnt last long here.(no surprise) This was 2 or 3 years back. A typical post from this guy would be;

Him: What do you think this card will grade?

You: A solid 7. looks a little OC for an 8 or 9.

Him: PM me your address, Im going to break your face. I will show you OC.

    This guy was a riot.

<< <i>You either gotta do one of two things in this situation:

    1) You walk up and yell something to the effect of "Hey AH, what the F are you doing? Little kids buy those packs and get nothing because pieces of S like you search the packs. Stealing from kids- What the F is wrong with you?" This will draw attention to him to the point where he might be too embarrassed to ever try again. Make sure you draw the correlation with searching packs and stealing from kids. It will be nearly impossible to argue with you, even for the b*tch of a manager you lucked out with.

    or

    2) Ask for the manager in charge of the store and rationally explain that there's a scumbag searching the packs and the little kids whose parents come to the store and spend hundreds on merchandise every week are getting ripped off because the searcher is pulling all of the good cards. You might have to explain a little about the hobby and how some valuable cards can be pulled and the searchers know how to find which packs their in.

Just walking up and having a private conversation with the piece of crap is going to get nothing accomplished. >>

You forgot option c: pull out your cell and make him known to thousands of youtubers as the guy who feels up packs for two dollar cards.

Agreed, this is the modern way of embarrassing people. The problem with me is it would take roughly 18 minutes for me to get my phone ready to take video, then another 97 minutes to figure out how to upload it to youtube. Seems like yelling at him is a lot less complicated.

What did Derek Jeter do to be included in this conversation?

Guru I'm glad you said something. These guys that do this are aholes. I buy packs for my daughter and half the cards are either creases or have bent corners.

I have to say the manager was out of line with you. There was a better way for her to handle this situation.

Phil Apostle, right? The guy who was always pimping his original photos? He had some pretty nice ones, but I was done with him after he publicly disparaged me over a Brett Butler photo I had the audacity to compliment him on but not purchase.

This just reminded me when i was about 12 in 1993 and I was at target when an older man about 30 was going through a bend of 1993 upper deck. Just feeling them over pushing the cards back and forth. "I asked what are you doing? He said im looking for the holograms. You feel for the slip." And those cards were worth the effort then to spend the hours and respect looking for them, but what are they worth now. Could it be the same cycle? This was one of many things that made me go vintage at a young age.

you should have started feeling him up. while doing so, whisper gently in his ear "see, this is how those packs you were just searching feel. not a great feeling, is it?"

if he responds "actually, it kinda does feel good", then your lesson in empathy just failed.

Dude, I don't care. I just think it's funny. I mean seriously, the intent was to vent. That's about it. I could care less what people are saying. Justin you're a tool. You like to twist words and reality to make false accusations against anyone that doesn't agree with your retarded way of thinking.

You're the kind of guy that would allow a bunch of grown men to take a $2500 auto from a little girl??? I call BS.

You say that you wouldn't care about a $2500 autograph ball? I say you're a liar.

You accuse me now of running a counterfgiet operation? You're a liar and a jerk.

Who's the internet tough guy? You feel a need to brag about how big you are... you're such a big strong guy... Look at me, I'm Justin the great big tough guy. Everyone be scared because I'm six foot three.

Considering how you like to lie and make up stories, it's my guess that you're a puny little puke. When you gonna grow some sac.
