Anyone here have a positive experience with New England Sportscards?

Suprisingly they weren't willing to work with me on a large lot of commons at all, which is their right. However, now I am excersing my rights by spending my money elsewhere as i politely informed them. I really felt as if they had no interest in trying to help me (the customer).........their great customer service won no brownie points with me, and i will not be buying ANYTHING from them now or in the future. There are plenty of others who will be more than happy to take my cash. Just curious if i was alone with this experience.

NESC is one of the liquidation arms of 4SC... I doubt there is much interest in working with set builders or singles buyers. They're just looking to move volume and any extra effort would probably not be extended.

this is 100% accurate. All of their gradable cards have been culled for submission already. For a raw set builder, they're fine. For a graded speculator - no way.

I think I bought a few vending boxes from them. Maybe that would explain why all the key rookies were off center.

One experience and it is/will be my last. I bought a perforated issue represented as NM/MT.

    It was hand-cut = worthless.

Fortunately it was a low $ purchase.

NESC has blocked me as a bidder. Other board members-- I know Dan ('softparade'), and there are doubtlessly others-- have had experiences with them that parallel my own.

I am pretty sure if you take them up on their return policy you get banned just like Waverly does.

I had a positive experience. I bid on some of their cards and was outbid.

To answer the original post, you're not alone. A friend of mine bought a large lot of 1972 commons from them once, and they were horrid. They refused to take them back (this was before Paypal taking sellers hostage).

I have actually bought raw cards from them several times. I have had pretty good luck with them. You just need to really look at the scans and don't plan on getting any psa 10's. All of these cards were purchased raw from them.

    Good Day,

Two Horrible experiences landed them on my "Never Ever Ever Buy From Seller List", years ago.
Beware of their Scanning skills, to mask Diamond Cut cards. They are Pros!!!
Or just do yourself a favor and bask in the fact your smart enough to not be taken by these basically borderline scammers, and Just Say No!!!!

Everyone forget the seller for a moment if you can. What werent they willing to do?

    Lower the price for you?
Let you pick only the cards you needed?

Please tell us what it was exactly that they werent willing to do?

They were not willing to work with me in ANY capacity , i asked for a discount since i was buying in large bulk, they said the price is as marked and no further discounts would be given. Ok, no problem i will take my money elsewhere, as stated before that is their right. However, they are on EBAY to make money and sell cards, most sellers gladly will work with you (at least ATTEMPT to) to move a large amount of cards. Hey, thats ok, they will not be making money from me. Customer satisfaction and service obviously are not part of their program. Sometimes it's not what you say , but how you say it!

So you asked them to lower their price and they said no. I feel that is well within their rights. You are now choosing to shop elsewhere. I feel that is well within your rights.

    Why was a thread needed?

If you have no experiences with them to share, i am not sure why your response was needed?

I have asked them many times to work with me on the price of an item and they were never willing. However, I never got the urge to start a thread on a sportscard forum to tell the whole world.
