I mentioned in this thread that I purchased this Morgan at a coin show this past weekend.
I traded up from a 78-CC in 63 to this one. Let me know what you think!!
Thanks for looking...

<< <i>Not a lot of eye appeal. Does the coin look like the picture or is the picture washed out? Looks like there is no luster. >>
I agree, in that my immediate reaction was dipped out and retoned, because of the apparent lack of luster. I'd like to see a photo picking up the luster before I get all effusive about your pickup.
Given the couple of the dings on the cheek, which would limit it to a PCGS MS64, I doubt that PCGS would have awarded it a 64 if it WERE dipped out - I just can't tell.
I hope that my honesty isn't construed as criticism.

If it weren't for the two tiny hits on the lower jaw, I could see it as a 5.

<< <i>Nice suttle rim toning, and a grade that fits the coin, nice cheek.

Agreed, the coin appears nice for the grade, assuming the coin has full luster.
It looks like a solid ms64.

That's a nice coin. I like target toning.

If the two reed contact marks on Miss Liberty's lower cheek/jaw area were in a less obvious (non prime focal) area, I bet it would have received the MS-65 grade. The TPGS's are tough on handing out the MS-65 grade for these because of the resulting 3X price differential jump from 64 to 65.
