Some new cards I purchased during my recent vacation...

Had some time on my hands recently while on a two week vacation in Cape San Blas (which is my favorite beach in the US - although few have heard of it). Great vacation, very relaxing, afternoon siestas, etc.
Anyway, I went on line a little each day and really combed ebay (and this board) and found some nice stuff. I also bought a few sets and lots, but here are some singles....
The Mays has a tiny dimple that caused the 5 -- but I thought it was undergraded anyway. For those not familiar with 62 topps - the three commons shown are quite tough, even in PSA 7.
Special thanks to Felicia for a few nice lots - 1974, 1975, and 1976 topps - great stuff that I've got to go through.
Edit: I am buying a new scanner this weekend -- don't waste your money on a Kodak! The snow on the last few 62's is from the scanner, not the cards

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
The '62 Mays is a smart, smart buy. Everyone regards him as the greatest living ballplayer over Aaron and Musial. I've noticed that the '62 Topps Set Registry is really picking up steam with a lot of people upgrading their '62 Set Registries recently.
Mantle & Mays...I mean, really - can anyone go wrong there? Congrats!
Id have to say congrats on the witt solid card tough!!!!!!!
Might i ask what it fetched?
Cheers, Gator

I live in Chicago, so Cape San Blas was a 1,000+ mile drive - but worth it for 2 weeks and to bring my dog (it is a dog-friendly beach).
I think Witt was $70 on a BIN.

Real nice Winfield and Witt.
Outstanding stuff. The Ryan would be my pick of the lot.
well done
collecting RAW Topps baseball cards 1952 Highs to 1972. looking for collector grade (somewhere between psa 4-7 condition). let me know what you have, I'll take it, I want to finish sets, I must have something you can use for trade.
looking for Topps 71-72 hi's-62-53-54-55-59, I have these sets started
I have to tell a quick story. I am 35 years old and as an 18 year old 1992 I had a nice copy of that card (an uncle had given me his worthless old collection since he found out I was a collector). We the Stadium Club "Dome" set came out that year with the HOT Brien Taylor rookie that I just had to have. I could not afford the high price tag so I traded my Winfield to this dealer. I never really felt good about the trade and have always considered adding back the Winfield just for memory sake!

Exactly. I think it may be unworkable.
