bank find...

Yesterday, I made a deposit at the local bank branch, located inside a Kroger. I asked about halves and teller tried to give me prez dollars. I figured that this branch was an unlikely candidate but I explained what I was looking for. Teller produced 4 rolls of Kennedys and I also picked up two rolls of the Tyler dollars.

Looked through the Kennedys when I got home and found 7 40% silver, one 61 Franklin and a 77 Proof. Several of the others had pieces of what appeared to be potato chip crumbs stuck to them. makes me wonder if it would pay to start asking for quarter rolls....

Interesting...far more luck than I have ever had with rolls... Cheers, RickO
  • I could be mistaken, but aren't silver quarters the hardest to find in circulation?

Ive had more luck with quarters than anything else. About 2-3 weeks ago I got a 1963-D Washington in change.
