Standing Liberty Quarters

Hi, i'm new around these parts (well new to this side of the forum, although I have been known to post on the darkside on and off for a few years now).
I've been slowly acquiring some SLQs, I've always really liked the design and I thought one day it'd be nice to put together a date set of them in MS grades. Admittedly i've narrowed the focus down a little (okay a lot) just to the P mint coins from 1917-1930 (which negates having to deal with 1916 which I can't afford).
So with the exception of 1921 you might think it not a major obstacle to completing a full set, afterall the coins are generally available, but it should prove a nice challenge for me living in England as I do! ;-)
Here's my latest acquisition;

This brings my total to five P mint SLQs so far.

A beautiful addition for sure. Very smooth and lustrous.
Although I like toning, brilliant examples like yours are incredibly eye-catching.
Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Looks like pretty thick luster on that one.
Nice!!

Very nice SLQ you've posted.
As you're doing a date set and have decided to only include Phila
coins [ smart and economic move on your part ] you'll have the
luxury of only purchasing coins with as much Full Head as possible.
Your 1930 [ above ] has a decent head and should be a template
of what you're collecting. There is hardly any premium for this
quality [ don't listen to anyone saying its a 90% FH and charge 90%
of the FH price. ]
Good luck with the collection - its one of my favorite designs.

Coin collecting is not a hobby, it's an obsession !

Thanks for the kind comments guys!
Yeah the 1930 is the only one i've purchased so far that isn't a FH! But i just really liked it, and to be honest that's how I tend to make a lot of my purchases (even if it doesn't always make sense
IMHO, the most striking U.S series.
Nice addition
The op's coin, while 'white'...
Great coin, and welcome to the other side!
<< <i>The more I see coins from this series posted here, the more I want one. Just one.

That's the great thing about collecting, noone but yourself has to approve. If you are happy with it that is when the enjoyment of collecting begins.
