You will be able to get UNC bronze cents in the 2009 Uncirculated Sets.

Any guesses on what a MS70RD will go for?

the hoopla surrounding the new cents is insane enough without the business strikes being 95% copper!
Imagine if they were? We'd probably have seen one of those Walmart Christmas-time stampedes by now.

My understanding is that the 2009 Silver Proof Set will contain the bronze cents.

The uncirculated satin finish Mint Sets will also contain this composition cent.

I also wish that the Mint had offered business strike rolls in the bronze comp. Think they're killing the golden goose by not making that option available.

This set has three additional pennies and one additional quarter compared to the 2008 set, plus the bronzie composition for the pennies. The clad set price has increased three dollars. But the silver set price will be the same. Makes no sense to me.

I always buy a proof set.

    And I will this year.

But I want more than one set of copper proof pennies.

thus I have to spend $30 for each additional set of pennies.

I wonder if buying sets in the after market would be better, I could go $30 a set and still be good.

Both proof sets will have the same 95% cents. The uncirc set will have 95% cents also (but obviously not proof versions).

go online and check you orders, you may see a new order already. Mine order status page does not show anything, and likely yours will not either. So call the mint with the new order number anbd ask them what it is.

if no new order number is showing up, call and ask.

    either way, call and ask...

dunno. call and ask. it's a good questions.

on the one hand you have the 82's. mixed year.

    this year, mixed year.

will they only separate them from the business strikes with a coin number?

I have benn giving out a few lincoln pennies, and not one single person has seen one yet. My rolls of fomative years should be here in a few days. I will break open 1 roll of them also and spread around.

There may be demand for 5 million sets, but that doesn't mean the Mint will make that many.
