I wanted to post this on both the group submission 2 & 3 threads, but just decided to create a new thread here instead.

First of all, for those of you who participated in the last group submission and are waiting for your cards to be shipped back, I apologize for my delay in getting them out. It is taking longer than expected, but I planned to get them out today.

For those of you waiting for additional information on group sub 3 or a response to PMs about it, I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to you either.

I've shared this with a couple of people here, but think everyone in the group subs deserves a quick update. I've been suffering from some fairly severe pain in my right leg for the past week. I assumed it was associated with an injury from working out and have been trying to give it time to heal. In my free time I've been home with my leg elevated, which isn't the most advantageous way to sort and box up other peoples' cards in a careful fashion.

I finally went to the doctor today because the pain and swelling was still persistent. I'm usually the last person to go to the doctor, but I had a lot of people close to me telling me to get this checked out. I'm glad I did.

What I assumed was a muscle tear ended up being deep vein thrombosis. I am now on my way to the hospital to be admitted for the next few days for observation and treatment. They're treating me with coumatin (ràt poison to thin the blood) and vicodin for the pain.

There's my sad story. Boo hoo.
Now what this means for everyone is that I'm not going to be able to get the cards from the first two parts of the group submission in the mail until early next week.

I also won't be able to update the info for the next group sub until early next week. I have been able to figure out the shipping/insurance price for group sub 3 but will hold off on posting it until next week since I won't be around to respond to questions. For now, please hold off on mailing me cards unless we've already set up something.

I'll be back in touch early next week.

Seriously though, get better fast! Nothing will be changed around here when you come back. In fact, the day you come back we will start threads just for you:

- How can this seller charge so much for postage on Ebay;
- How was this card graded a 9;
- Pujols poop doesn't stink;

etc....

And certainly keep them away from the upper thigh region...if you look in the fine print on the back of Emmitt cards it says "may cause shrinkage."

Thanks for all the well-wishes. I am happy to be back home.

My family took away my blackberry so I could get some rest.

I have a bunch of PMs to respond to with information on the next group sub. I will try to start getting back to everyone later tomorrow evening. In the mean time, I'm going to start getting cards from the last group submission out in tomorrow's mail. Tomorrow morning, I will be getting some help picking up the third part of the group submission from the post office since it arrived while I was laid up. I imagine that all of the cards I have (including the 3rd part) will be out in the mail by the end of the week. I'll keep everyone updated on the group submission thread.
