Guess the Date of this Electric Toned Franklin!

Here's a few different shots of the Reverse. It's a monster, but can you guess the date just from the toning? Franklin fanatics, here we go...

I will post the obverse shot after I get enough guesses.

    Logically it looks like a mninst set toner from a 1957 or 1958 set but something tells me that's not the case with this coin. I will guess a 62-D for no other reason that guessing image

    I'll say 1948, no 1949, that's 1951, correction 1952, oh darn 1953, crap 1954, dog-gone-it 1955, heck 1956, wrong key 1957, lost the backspace 1958, oops 1959, shoot 1960, don't interupt me when typing 1961, my guess 1962, there that gets it 1963. Yep, I'll stick with that.image

    I have some '63 & '64 dimes & quarters still in the paper rolls with that exact same toning. Loads of reds, yellows, & greens.
    I'd sure love to get a roll of halves to match them. It's a beaut!

    image Sorry Pat. I first sent the seller an offer, but then I realized the coin was not priced real high and that the toning would look a lot better in hand so then I immediately hit the BIN! But first I signed into my live.com cashback account and saved 14% off the BIN price.

    But seriously that's not funny, because if it had happened to me I would be PO'd

    I paid double the PCGS price guide price for the grade. I wouldn't call it a steal but a good deal IMO.

    Bottom line is that Franklin with that kind of stunning color (on that DATE!) is worth easily 5X's if not 10X's what you paid.

    Absolutely the best of the best I've seen for a Franklin in the 60's.

    Thanks for the kind comments. This coin does have some vivid toning for the date. I just wish the toning was on the obverse instead of the reverse.
