Just got back from the store with a hobby box of 2009 SPX Baseball. I will post highlights here as I get them.

The first 4 packs yielded the first jersey hit, a nice dual of Burnett and Halladay. Should be 4 in the box by the time I finish. Collation is kind of wierd, as I have already pulled two of the base Dimaggio cards. One of the Dimaggio insert set so far:

4 more packs and another hit. This time a Magglio dual. Some star power in the base and Retrospective cards. Another Dimaggio insert. I thought it was the same card, but just the same pic. I hope they mix up the images some.

Nothing huge, but the next 4 packs yielded 3 more hits. A nice Braun jersey, a Tejada jersey, and a Swisher jersey with some ink.

Then being a Steve Carlton fan, it's a rare treat to actually pull one from a pack anymore.

I do have a box of Piece of History and 3 Heritage blasters to rip sometime this weekend though

No patch card, but the last six packs yielded one more hit. A neat Schilling dual jersey. Some young star power, and a couple more Dimaggio inserts.

I ripped through a box of Piece of History the other night and didn't pull anything really exciting. Wasn't too thrilled with the design either. But I did get a John Hurt Outlander Vest card though.

The auto I pulled was an A's rookie pitcher. Josh Outman #'d to 99. Don't know any about him at all.

$140 for a box of 8 packs. Each pack has 4 cards with one being an auto. One of the autos will be a group A auto.

I've been paying $100. You get two mini-boxes in the box. Each mini-box has 6 packs with an auto rookie in each mini-box as well. 5 cards per pack and a refractor in each pack as well.

Stopped by the shop again this week and noticed a box of 2007 SP Rookie Edition Baseball sitting on the shelf and thought I'd buy it. Thought it would be a good break to find a few candidates for my upcoming April Special submission. Will probably send in both Brauns, Lincecum, Dice-K, and the Chipper. Here are some scans:
